Description
DCA is committed to teaching students to effectively use technology throughout their educational career. Technology is integrated into everyday activities both inside and outside the classroom. Technology enhances a student's education by developing problem-solving skills. DCA has Promethean Interactive White Boards in every classroom from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. These interactive boards are giant computer touch screens that enhance the educational experience and provide an additional avenue through which students are engaged in the classroom. All students in sixth through the twelfth grade are equipped with their own iPad to be used at school and at home for all subject areas.

Description
Donelson Christian Academy offers a significant number of opportunities outside the classroom. The Academy's mission statement concludes by expressing the goal of developing Christ-like leaders who will serve in their homes, churches, and communities. As a result, the school requires students to participate in community service in many ways that directly impact people locally in Donelson and Hermitage,as well as in the broader Nashville community. In addition, the students themselves experience the timeless axiom that it is more blessed to give than to receive. We are proud that our graduates continue to value service after graduation. In addition nearly every student is involved in clubs, athletics, performing arts, or visual arts. Twenty four sports are available on the varsity level. Performing arts include concert choir, Legacy Show Choir, concert band, marching band, and theatre performances. Life lessons such as commitment, discipline, and the ability to work cooperatively with others are important learning opportunities that are stressed in all DCA programs.
