CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

Each potential patient that calls Salvus Center for an appointment is screened to be certain they meet the criteria to be seen. Specifically, the patient must be working, must live or work in Sumner County, and cannot have health insurance. Patients must schedule an appointment to be seen at the clinic. There is a fee for each visit. The amount of the visit is determined by a sliding scale based on the income and number of dependents of each patient. Salvus is fortunate to have three hospitals in the county that provide testing and inpatient care for the patients. Patients are charged a minimal fee at the facilities. The clinic has a number of prescription drugs available for the patients. Other physician offices or representatives of drug companies have donated these drugs. Salvus Center works with a local drug store for additional low cost prescription drugs for patients. Patients are charged a minimal fee for certain drugs; that fee is based on the patient's income. Additionally, the new programs for $4.00 prescriptions at major retail stores have helped ensure that patients have the drugs needed for their condition.
