Description
The Doorstep Pantry program delivers food straight to the doors of those in need within a 10 mile radius of our warehouse. This program provides primarily pantry staples, such as canned soups, beans, vegetables, and meats; pasta or rice; peanut butter; boxed meals like mac and cheese; and other packaged foods and snacks. Depending on availability, fresh items such as produce, dairy, or meat may be included. It is all packaged in a burlap bag with a note written in English and Spanish.

Description
OneGenAway rescues high-quality, surplus food from different grocery stores and restaurants in the Middle Tennessee area and delivers the goods to a number of smaller food pantries, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, schools, and other agencies throughout Middle Tennessee.

At a mobile food pantry, 25,000-30,000 pounds of food is brought to a parking lot, and a group of volunteers comes together to unload, sort, and bag the items and then distribute cartfuls of food to 250-300 families in need.
