Description
Through our new career and technical education (CTE) initiative, we will partner with the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and other chambers across the state to assist schools with matching students in grades 7-12 to high-quality businesses that specialize in skills of interest, resulting in a more robust workforce pipeline in the state. By partnering with chambers of commerce, we will extend more opportunities to Tennessee students, ensuring each high school graduate is prepared to succeed in the postsecondary program or career of their choice. We will match each chamber with one Tennessee school to launch a partnership where students complete apprenticeships or externships and, ideally, earn high school credits and/or hours toward completing a type of workforce certification.
