Description
Big Table opened its Nashville office on July 1, 2021 with a local City Director. In September 2021, we added a Care Coordinator and an Office/Events Admin to make a Care team of 3. In March 2022, we added a second Care Coordinator.
The restaurant and hospitality industry is filled with marginalized people-groups that intersect across multiple target populations listed below. Because Big Table is focused on an industry, not a single issue, we address multiple areas. Our Impact Areas are: Housing Stability (56%), Mental/Emotional Health (22%), Job Readiness (17%), Medical/Dental Care, (5%), and Addiction Recovery (1%). 30% of our funding across all of our impact areas goes to single-parent family support.
Our Care program is relationally structured and allows us to connect directly with referred care recipients, so we can hear from them what issues are currently most pressing in their lives. Capacity-building results through both financial help and emotional support.
