Description
Proverbs 1210 Animal Rescue annually accepts over 1000 animals who have been abandoned, neglected or abused. We provide for their veterinary care, nourishment, rehabilitation and training in foster homes and eventual placement into new, loving homes. Once accepted into Proverbs program, no animal is euthanized due to the cost of medical care if the animal can heal from the injury or illness requiring treatment. Regardless of the time needed, animals are kept in our rescue program until a suitable adoptive home is found. If at a future date, the adoptive home cannot keep the dog or cat, our contract specifies that the animal be returned to our program until another adoptive home is found. This is to insure that none of the animals from our rescue program ever again finds itself abandoned, owner surrendered to a high kill shelter or passed to a home that will chain the pet outside.

CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

The largest challenge for Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue is that the need is great and the resources are so few. On a daily basis, we turn away multiple requests for animals in need of rescue due to scheduled euthanasia in a local or rural shelter. Our volunteers frequently find abandoned animals in middle Tennessee who require immediate assistance to recover from starvation, illness and injuries. Our organization has grown tremendously in the years since becoming a 501c3. We have identified the need to develop a stronger infrastructure for our rescue program in order to provide more assistance to animals in need, to begin an education program in rural county schools, to provide low cost spay/neuter programs in counties that do not offer such service and to recruit more volunteers. We are making progress each year and look forward to achieving more.
