Residential Recovery Programs for Men, Women, and Mothers with Children
HOPE FOR TOMORROW.
Building a new life.
It is counseling for a man who is battling addictions. It is caring for a woman who has suffered abuse. It is giving a child a safe place to play while mom gets the help she needs. It is teaching men and women new skills that will equip them for a better future. At Nashville Rescue Mission, we assess each individual's situation and develop a plan specifically for them that will take them out of the situation they are now in and help them make plans for a better tomorrow. We believe God has a plan and a purpose for every person. The Mission's program focuses on a person's entire life, physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, and social. We are committed to restoring the whole person through a Christian approach that helps the homeless and addicted learn how much God loves them and gain the biblical insight they need to live a new life.

It is a hot meal for a hungry child. It is safe shelter for a single woman. It is case management for a homeless man. It is helping men and women in need prepare for employment. At Nashville Rescue Mission, we address homelessness and hopelessness in a way that is transformational and Christ-centered. We believe in order for someone's heart to be open to change, we must first meet his or her most basic and immediate needs. With over 4,000 homeless individuals living on the streets of Nashville on any given night, Nashville Rescue Mission not only provides temporary assistance to the homeless but truly gets to the root of the problems that lead to these broken lifestyles in the first place. | Since our humble beginnings in 1954, Nashville Rescue Mission has offered programs to help those dealing with the issues of homelessness and addition. In 1968, the Mission saw the need to expand these services to women and their children. Today, Nashville Rescue Mission serves over 7,000, men, women and their children annually. In addition to life recovery programs, those in need have access to safe shelter, nutritious meals, Christian counseling, clothing, and other services. In 2020, we served over 424,178 meals and provided over 212,379 nights of safe shelter. Education is paramount in our programs; we offer classes in basic living skills and computer training. All of the services we offer are and have been provided free of charge. We desire every person we meet to gain a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Although we operate as a Christian ministry we offer our services to all who come to our doors without consideration of their faith or religious preference. You do not have to be a Christian to receive help or be in one of the programs at Nashville Rescue Mission. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and accept no money or assistance from local, state, or federal government. |
