Through Campaign 150, Meharry Medical College will raise $200 million to build on the first 150 years of the College's success-and to look ahead to the next 150 years. Campaign 150 priorities are focused on 1) Scholarship support ($100 million) to enable more Meharry graduates to practice primary and dental care in underserved communities to promote wellness, address disparities, and reduce healthcare costs, but which large debt loads make difficult to sustain, given lower pay; 2) Faculty support ($25 million) to attract best teacher/scholars who connect in the classroom and who are motivated to conduct nationally recognized research; 3) Programmatic Support ($25 million) to update and integrate data science into curricula, implement research support platforms and new care delivery models, and create consortia with key partners to expand learning beyond the classroom; and 4) Facility Support ($50 million+) Breaking ground on a new comprehensive research building and launching the School of Applied Computational Sciences, which will serve as the center of Meharry's computational sciences in academic training and research.
